Houser acknowledged the difficulty of balancing nostalgia with innovation, recognizing major changes often lead to strong reactions. Despite the negativity, the team didn’t take the criticism personally. Instead, Dan saw it as proof that Max Payne still had a passionate and dedicated fanbase.
