Perth motorists are being told to expect heavy traffic on Saturday, with two major events happening around the city.

Main Roads WA has urged people attending the Indigenous All Stars football game at Optus Stadium and the Kylie Minogue concert at RAC Arena to consider taking public transport to the events.

Gates at Optus will open at 3pm, with the game set to kick off at 4.30pm, while doors to Kylie’s first concert of her world tour will open at 6.45pm.

The Western Force will also attract big crowds to the CBD, with the rugby team set to open their Super Rugby Pacific campaign against Moana Pasifika at HBF Park at 4.35pm

Extra foot traffic is expected in the CBD and around Burswood, with people told to be aware of frequently stopping vehicles and ride share drop-offs.
