Triumph’s original hooligan bike continues to evolve

The Triumph Speed Triple has been one of the British marque’s most loved motorcycles since it was first released in 1994.

Known for its aggressive streetfighter appearance and powerful inline-triple cylinder engine, the Speed Triple has evolved significantly over time with the engine size increasing to 955cc, 1050cc and 1160cc.

The recently launched MY25 Speed Triple 1200 RS continues to build on the classic street fighter appearance with a new even sportier look that expresses both power and presence.

The new 1160cc triple engine is more powerful than ever with 183HP (134kW) at 10,750rpm and 128Nm at 8750rpm. It offers an improved blend of low-end drive and top-end punch, to give cutting-edge performance on the road and on the track.

Triumph says the new Speed Triple 1200 RS is now more refined, with a significantly improved electronics package, that makes it even easier for customers to exploit and enjoy the improved performance.

The rider-focused technology package includes the cutting-edge Ohlin’s Objective Based Tuning Interface, which continuously monitors and adjusts the suspension damping characteristics and allows riders to easily adjust the suspension’s dynamic damping characteristics in different riding scenarios. It has seven parameters that can be independently adjusted including front and rear firmness, braking, acceleration, cornering and cruising support

There is also new independently adjustable Front Wheel Lift Control, Engine Braking Control and Brake Slide Control, as well as fully adjustable cruise control.

The new bike tips the scales at 199kg and sports slightly wider and higher bar to ensure the perfect balance of agility and control.

The MY25 Triumph Speed Triple 1200RS will be available in dealerships from April 2025.

It is priced from $31,490 ride away and customers can choose from three eye-catching colours, including Jet ******, or the premium options (from $31,990 ride away): Granite and Diablo Red, and Granite and Performance Yellow.
