The game, scheduled to release later this year, is FromSoftware’s first title, which will focus on delivering a co-op experience. It also borrows a lot of elements from the past franchise of the Dark Souls trilogy. However, there is this one boss taken from Elden Ring that will be enough to give you goosebumps.

Hidden in the beautiful open world of The Lands Between, designed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, is the one wretched enemy that looks like a hand but carries way more than 5 fingers at a time. Called the fingercreeper, it is possibly not only the most horrifying but also one of the most annoying enemy types that players have come across in the whole game.

from the Elden Ring Nightreign’s closed network testing, the fingercreeper will now be teaming up with the Centipede ******, a boss taken from Dark Souls. 

These horrifying hand creatures can essentially be found all over the map, even making an appearance in the original game’s Shadow of the Erdtree, a DLC that also brings a new Fingercreeper spirit ash for players to use.

Not only is the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign the studio’s most unique experiment yet in hopes of delivering a great co-op experience, but according to the game’s director, it also posed an opportunity to break FromSoftware out of the average run-of-the-mill Souls game loop it had been stuck in for a while. 

With a different director taking charge this time around, we will also get to see new and unique ideas take place in the same foundation laid for Elden Ring, a game that took the studio to new heights when it was first released. 

The upcoming co-op experience asks the players to choose from 8 different pre-defined characters with different skill sets to play from. With the help of leaks, we already knew the Nameless King was on the cards, but with the Fingercreeper lined up too, fans are now wondering what other horrors the studio has to offer.
