My favorite moments on the topic are not just the moment of introspection and being able to say to yourself that you’re trans or non-binary, It’s actually those disclosure moments that happen later on where you meet another character that you feel comfortable disclosing to, or you start developing a relationship with one of your companions and you want to disclose.

Busche’s considerate use of they/them pronouns when referring to a few different characters in the game is another sign of how significant it has remained for the studio throughout to make sure there is an authentic representation of the community.

The gaming industry has always been more orthodox and ruthless regarding these matters, with many even criticizing the decision to make the game feel inclusive by going so out of the way.
