While its soulslike combat is instantly recognizable to fans of FromSoftware's incredible RPGs, Lies of P manages to stand out as one of the most unique games to take inspiration from the Souls series. Sure, it too is fairly dark and bleak, but it uses that aesthetic to transform old fairy tales into something brutal and brilliant. If you're a soulslike fan, it's definitely worth your time, and if you've already played it, you'll no doubt be excited for its upcoming DLC. Well, in today's State of Play, Lies of P made a surprise appearance, showing off footage of its first expansion for the first time and revealing that it'll be a prequel to the base game's story.
