alongside hundreds of thousands of other players. This is my fourth time trying to get invested in a Monster Hunter game, as I previously played Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on the PSP, Monster Hunter World on PS4 - and later on PC - and Monster Hunter Rise on the Nintendo Switch. I've also played plenty of Monster Hunter clones, like the ill-fated yet nevertheless creative Wild Hearts, all to little success. As hard as I've tried to get into the series and genre as a whole, I've really struggled.
