Las Vegas sex worker accused of kidnapping, stealing $300K in crypto

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A sex worker faces charges for allegedly kidnapping and then stealing nearly $300,000 in cryptocurrency from a man she met at a Las Vegas Strip nightclub, documents said.

Zapri Outlaw faces charges of kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery for an incident last November, records said. While several people are named as suspects in court documents, Outlaw is the sole person charged in the crime as of Tuesday.

Outlaw allegedly met the victim at a nightclub on Nov. 22, police said. The victim said “he was possibly drugged” and was speaking with Outlaw and another woman. Video evidence did not reveal if the man was actually drugged, police said.

The man told Outlaw and the other woman that he was visiting and staying in Summerlin and the group agreed to drive back that way, documents said. Around 2 a.m., the group then left the nightclub in an SUV. The victim told police “it was hard for him to focus” and “he believed he had gotten into an Uber.”

The SUV then pulled into a parking lot about a block away from the nightclub and another passenger, armed with a gun, ordered the man out of the car, documents said. The man got out of the car and then realized his watch, phone and wallet were missing.

The man later determined someone made multiple transactions on his credit card and money from missing from a cryptocurrency account, documents said.

Other suspects in the case have active warrants related to other grand larceny investigations, police said.

Police arrested Outlaw on Thursday, Feb. 6, records said. While speaking with officers, Outlaw said “she [sells] her *******… and she didn’t do anything,” documents said.

Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Daniel Westmeyer set bail at $10,000, records said. Outlaw posted bond and was due to return to court in April.
