Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 31 points in three quarters as the Oklahoma City Thunder routed the New Orleans Pelicans 120-89.

Oklahoma City hit a franchise-record 27 three-pointers, despite no individual making more than four on Monday night (Tuesday AEDT). Eleven players drained at least one for a team that made 49 per cent of their 55 three-point tries.

Aaron Wiggins scored 24 points and Jalen Williams added 16 for the Thunder, who won their sixth straight game.

Oklahoma City improved to an NBA-best 43-9, while the Pelicans dropped to a Western Conference-worst 12-41.

Trey Murphy III scored 23 points and Zion Williamson added 17 for the Pelicans.

In Orlando, *********** Dyson Daniels was one of five Atlanta players to score double-figures as the travelling Hawks beat the Magic 112-106.

The in-form Daniels continued on his merry way with 10 points, six rebounds and five assists for Atlanta.

Trae Young scored 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter and Caris LeVert had 18 points and eight rebounds for the Hawks (26-28), who won for the fourth time in five games after an eight-game losing streak.

Franz Wagner led Orlando (26-29) with 35 points.

In Cleveland, Evan Mobley scored 28 points and fellow All-Star Donovan Mitchell added 23 as the Cavaliers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-107.

The East-leading Cavs (43-10) scored the game’s first 16 points. They welcomed new addition De’Andre Hunter and improved to 25-4 at home.

All-Star Anthony Edwards scored 44 to lead the way for Minnesota (30-24).

In Dallas, DeMar DeRozan scored a season-high 42 points, including a baseline floater with two seconds left in overtime, as the Sacramento Kings beat the depleted Mavericks 129-128.

Zach LaVine and Malik Monk each scored 17 points for the Kings in the opener of a three-game trip. Domantas Sabonis had 16 points and 15 rebounds.

The Mavericks lost centre Daniel Gafford to a sprained right knee after a knee-to-knee collision with Monk early in the second quarter.

Dallas were already playing without power forwards Anthony Davis and P.J. Washington and centres Dereck Lively II and Dwight Powell, all because of injuries.

Kyrie Irving scored 30 points for the Mavericks.

*********** Dante Exum played 19 minutes for Dallas, contributing two rebounds, six assists and five points.

In Miami, Jayson Tatum scored 33 points and Kristaps Porzingis added 17 as the Boston Celtics rolled past the Heat 103-85.

Al Horford scored 16 points, Sam Hauser had 15 and Derrick White added 13 for the Celtics (38-16).

Bam Adebayo scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Miami, who were without Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez Jr because of illness.

In Washington, Victor Wembanyama had 31 points and 15 rebounds to help the San Antonio Spurs hold off the Wizards 131-121.

De’Aaron Fox contributed 30 points for the Spurs, and Chris Paul had 10 assists. Rookie Stephon Castle added 16 points.

Tristan Vukcevic led Washington with 18 points.

In New York, Nic Claxton scored 16 points as the Brooklyn Nets beat the visiting Charlotte Hornets 97-89.

Cam Johnson and Day’Ron Sharpe each added 14 points for the Nets, who won for the fifth time in six games in the best stretch of their first season under Jordi Fernandez.

Moussa Diabate had a career-high 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Hornets.

In Milwaukee, Stephen Curry scored a season-high 38 points as the Golden State Warriors beat the Bucks 125-111.

Jimmy Butler had 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists in his second game with the Warriors.

Damian Lillard scored 38 points for the Bucks, Kyle Kuzma scored 21 and Taurean Prince added 19.

And in Denver, Nikola Jokic scored 40 points and Christian Braun had 26 points as the surging Nuggets beat the Portland Trail Blazers 146-117 for their seventh straight win.
