The highest amounts of snow will be focused in the southeast, especially where lake enhancement and lake effect will increase snow totals. Snowfall in Milwaukee will start on Wednesday sometime during the morning hours and snow through the afternoon and linger into the evening, with the highest chance of snowfall in the afternoon and evening. “It will absolutely will impact the evening commute in Milwaukee. I would expect you’re going to have snow covered roads, slick conditions. It is going to be cold enough for the snow to easily stick,” said NWS meteoroglist Mark Gehring. Highs in Milwaukee will land around the upper-20s on Wednesday during the day, and will drop into the teens on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. “Thursday morning it will be a winter wonderland,” said Gehring. The NWS reports there is still plenty of uncertainty in the track and strength of this system, especially on the northern side, and that any changes could greatly impact potential snow totals.
