Debate with ECB’s Christine Lagarde

Following the opening of the session, MEPs, European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde and Commissioner Albuquerque will discuss the state of Europe’s economy, how to improve competitiveness and the role monetary policy can play in achieving this. A draft report assessing the ECB’s work in 2024 will be voted on by MEPs in plenary on Tuesday.

Gang violence in Sweden

From around 18.30, plenary will debate escalating organised crime in Sweden with Commissioner Albuquerque.
