Marvel’s hero shooter has been hotter than the Human Torch since launch. There have been few (if any) bumps in the road. However, one Galactus-sized obstacle is the PlayStation Servers not cooperating with Marvel Rivals, and this would be detrimental to the game’s status.

Marvel Rivals Season One is going smoother than the Silver Surfer across big waves in the tropics. Season Two is already being eyed up by impatient onlookers. We’re always hungry for more and to see which heroes are making a dramatic landing in the online multiplayer title. NetEase hasn’t got much wrong with Marvel Rivals, but sometimes, things fall out of their control.

As of writing, Marvel Rivals is unplayable on PlayStation right now because the PlayStation Network is down, meaning all forms of online connectivity are down.

There is nothing NetEase can do right now for PlayStation users. The PSN Servers went down on February 8, causing the PlayStation Network to go down worldwide—sending everyone and everything into a frenzy. This means all PSN services are out of commission until further notice: Online multiplayer, downloads, the Store, and much more.

We’re all still trying to figure out what’s going on and why PSN is down. If you’re a Marvel Rivals player on Xbox or PC, you should be having no such issues. NetEase’s servers are operational, meaning Rivals itself, is fine, but this is of no consolation to PlayStation players.

It’s not just Marvel Rivals being battered by the maintenance issues either. Other popular online shooters are also suffering including Fortnite, GTA, and multiple Call of Duty games.
