Sonic X Shadow Generations has sold 2 million copies

Sonic X Shadow Generations has passed 2 million copies sold, ***** has said.

SegaSammy has released its financial results for the third quarter, in which it confirmed that the remake of the 2011 platformer has passed 2 million copies sold.

Sonic’s best-selling 3D game is currently Sonic Frontiers, which as of 2023 had sold 3.5 million copies, surpassing Sonic Colours, the previous franchise leader.

***** didn’t provide updated sales data for JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio, which sold 1 million copies on its first day of release, according to Atlus. 

Sonic X Shadow Generations is an updated version of the 2011 platformer Sonic Generations.

VGC’s review called it “a double helping of fan service.”

Alongside this news, ***** announced that it has cancelled Football Manager 25.

In a statement posted on the official Football Manager account on X, its developer stated that “following extensive external discussion and careful consideration with *****“, the focus will now shift to the next game in the series.
