The studio is behind such films as Dune and the western Godzilla movies like Godzilla vs Kong, and Detective Pikachu. Magic: The Gathering is a card game created by Wizards of the Coast in 1993 and has since grown to become one of the most popular trading card games in the world. Wizards of the Coast was acquired by Hasbro in 1999. Hasbro is no stranger to creating movie adaptations of its products, which range from G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Dungeons and Dragons.
