Watch Dogs falls somewhere between GTA 5, Cyberpunk 2077, and the earlier Assassin's Creed games. Watch Dogs 2 had the better writing, and a much more sympathetic protagonist in Marcus Holloway. Watch Dogs Legion was *******, louder. But the 2014 original was the best from a purely pyrotechnical level - great gunfights, great car chases, and a few solid setpiece missions as part of the main campaign. A mix of action, stealth, driving, and hacking, if you haven't played it before, or you've been waiting for a reason to try it again, new Watch Dogs Steam achievements may be the perfect excuse.
