‘Conservative management’: Campbell Graham racing the clock for round 1 as Titans boss issues Tino warning to rest of league

Campbell Graham remains a chance of playing in South Sydney’s round 1 clash against the Dolphins, with a specialist determining the best course of action for his broken hand is “conservative management”.

Graham broke his hand at training last week, with the club confirming he’ll be out for 4-6 weeks, which leaves him racing the clock to be fit for the March 7 showdown at Suncorp Stadium.

The luckless centre missed the entire 2024 season due to a serious sternum injury, with Graham set to be a huge inclusion for the Rabbitohs who endured a horror campaign on the back of injuries to high-profile stars.

“X-rays have confirmed Rabbitohs centre Campbell Graham has sustained a broken hand at training last week,” the club confirmed in its medical report.

“Graham saw a specialist this week who decided that conservative management of the injury is the best course of action at this stage.

“Graham is expected to be sidelined for between four to six weeks.”

Meanwhile, Titans chief executive Steve Mitchell has issued a warning to the rest of the league, declaring returning skipper Tino Fa’asuamaleaui is “*******, stronger and quicker” than ever before.

The representative forward missed most of 2024 after he ruptured his ACL against the Bulldogs, with Fa’asuamaleaui spending some time in the off-season working with renowned reconditioning specialist Bill Knowles in Philadelphia.

The club will release a three-part documentary over the coming weeks detailing his comeback from the injury, with Mitchell amazed by his physical condition after almost 12 months out of the game.

“He’s ******* again,” he said on Mornings with Matt White on SEN.

“Athletically, he’s quite extraordinary.

“He’s *******, stronger, quicker and more engaged (than ever before). He’s a year older and I think his captaincy and leadership have developed with that maturity.

“He’s something to watch and I can’t wait to see him get back out in front of that squad working with Kieran (veteran playmaker Kieran Foran) and taking that squad forward.”

The Titans have the bye in round 1, with their skipper set to lead a new-look forward pack featuring former Eel Reagan Campbell-Gillard against Canterbury on March 16.
