Woman, 34, Arrested After Police Say She Threw ‘First Date’ Brick Through Ex-Husband’s Window

A woman has been arrested after police say they caught her on camera throwing a “first date” brick through the window of her ex-husband’s Florida home.

On Tuesday, Jan. 28, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) shared footage on

“A 34-year-old woman is behind bars for throwing a ‘first date’ brick through a Bonita Springs residence window,” police captioned the clip.

“Deputies located Sabrina Coyne outside of the residence after the homeowner says they woke up to a loud ****** and ******** on the front door,” the sheriff’s office added.

“Coyne was arrested for criminal mischief & throwing a deadly missile into an occupied dwelling,” police said.

In the video footage shared by police, an officer can be heard confronting the woman and asking, “What’s going on? You’re the one ******** on here?

“Yeah I’m trying to get in touch with my ex-husband…” she responded, insisting, “I banged on the door because he wouldn’t let me in!”

“Do you live here?” the officer questioned, as the suspect said, “Yes!” while the word “Wrong!” — apparently added by police — flashed up on the screen.

“Did you launch anything in there?” the officer asked, as the suspect insisted, “No” before the camera cut to footage showing her throwing what appeared to be a brick.

“I didn’t break the window, I did not break the window!” she told police, reiterating, “Officer, officer, I did not break the window.”

The video showed a commemorative brick with the date June 14, 2020 on it, seemingly referencing the couple’s first date, as mentioned in the caption. Police didn’t confirm the victim’s name.

An LCSO spokesperson said police had no additional updates when contacted by PEOPLE. The suspect is expected in court on Feb. 24.
