Driver dies after losing control and striking stopped snowplow on Highway 41 in Oconto

One person died on Highway 41 in Oconto Sunday morning after losing control of their vehicle and striking the back of a snowplow, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The ****** happened at 8 a.m. Sunday on Highway 41 southbound at Frog Pond Road, near Oconto Municipal Airport.

The state patrol’s initial investigation indicates the vehicle, a 2012 Cadillac sedan, lost control and hit the back of a snowplow. The snowplow was in the left turn lane and had stopped before the ******.

The driver of the sedan sustained fatal injuries, though no other information about the driver was available. No other passengers were in the sedan. The snowplow operator was not injured in the ******.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting the ****** investigation, according to a release. Agencies that responded to the ****** include the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, Oconto Police Department, Oconto Fire and Rescue, Brown County Medical Examiner and Oconto County Emergency Dispatch Center.
