from the U.S. Attorney’s Office says Goodson used text messages and Snapchat to share “many ********* explicit messages with the victim.”

“When questioned, Goodson told police that his relationship with the minor was like that of a boyfriend, and he further admitted to buying the victim gifts and communicating daily, via Snapchat,” according to the news release. “Ultimately, Goodson convinced the minor victim to engage in ******* contact, on multiple occasions, within his classroom.”

A plea agreement states that Goodson was a teacher at the victim’s school and that he used Snapchat to communicate with the student daily between August 2023 and Feb. 23 of this year.

Federal law requires that he serve 85 percent of his sentence. Once released, he will be on probation for 20 years.
