The restaurant in the 1500 block of Sycamore View suffered heavy damage to its front entry after a Buick Enclave drove through the doors around 11 Friday night. Police say the driver of the Buick drove over a concrete barrier and between two poles, striking the building with his front bumper and ending up inside the business. The driver said he fell asleep in his car in front of the Waffle House, and the next thing he knew, he was inside the restaurant. No one inside was injured.
