Sheriff’s Office said it received a report of a delayed ******* offense involving Sexton on Jan. 14.

Deputies said they conducted interviews and analyzed text message conversations between Sexton and the child.

Detectives determined Sexton had used her relationship to take advantage of the child when the child was visiting Sexton for the holiday in December. Officials said these actions included kissing, attempted ********* and ******* intercourse.

Reports show Sexton continued her contact with the child through text messages on numerous occasions over a ******* of several weeks after the child returned home in January. Records show Sexton even told the child she was intending to leave her husband for him.

However, detectives said she later admitted they had engaged in ******* activity. She also admitted to participating in the text conversations with the child, deputies stated.

“It’s sickening to see a person take advantage of a child half her age and engage in a highly inappropriate and ******** relationship,” said Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly. “These cases are never easy, and I commend our major case unit for their hard work to quickly make an arrest before she could continue her ******** behavior.”
