MultiVersus’s fifth season will be its last, with the game being delisted at the end of May

The upcoming fifth season of MultiVersus will be its last, the game’s developer has confirmed.

“After careful consideration, our next Season will serve as the final seasonal content update for the game,” a statement on the game’s blog reads.

Season 5 will run from February 5 until May 30, at which point the game will go offline and will be delisted from the PlayStation Store,

“All online features will continue to be available until Season 5 concludes on May 30 at 9am PST,” the statement reads. “At that point, there will be an option to play MultiVersusoffline via the local gameplay mode, either solo against AI opponents or with up to three friends.

“To do this, you’ll need to install/download the latest version of the game and log in during Season 5, any time between February 4 at 9am PST and May 30 at 9am PST.

“After logging in, a local save file will be automatically created connected to your PlayStation Network,

Real money transactions are no longer available in the game as of today, but players with remaining Gleamium currency and character tokens can continue to spend them on in-game content until the game goes offline on May 30.

Players will not be refunded for any Gleamium or other content purchased with real money.

“This decision was not made lightly,” a message on the game’s FAQ page reads. “All of us on the Player First Games and Warner Bros Games teams have put our heart and soul into MultiVersus, creating a unique social and cooperative experience from the ground up that brings together a variety of popular characters and worlds.
