Little Rock police arrest suspect in deadly Park Plaza Mall shooting

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock police said they have arrested a suspect in a shooting at Park Plaza Mall earlier in the week that left a woman dead.

Authorities said 18-year-old Abdelrahmanahmed Sallam was arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of 47-year-old Cynthia Gregory on Monday night.

According to the LRPD, officers responded shortly after 6 p.m. to 6000 West Markham Street. After arriving on the scene, officers said they found Gregory after she had been shot.

Police said she was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

Sallam is facing a charge of capital *******.
