Set in the United Kingdom after one of the worst nuclear accidents in history, the Windscale nuclear disaster, Atomfall takes an alternate path in history to a world where most of Northern England has become a quarantine zone. In 1962, in England, five years after the disaster, players had to explore the region, despite its many mutated monsters and dangerous humans, to discover exactly what happened.
