They don't offer any combat advantages or stat boosts; their purpose is purely aesthetic, adding a personalized touch to your gameplay but not really helping with fighting or anything else. There are a few pets in the game, each with its own characteristics and animations. However, there aren’t so many that it feels overwhelming show off your personality.
