Larian Studios has confirmed that split-screen co-op is finally coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox Series S.

and Larian reached an agreement to launch the Series S version without split-screen co-op, which it had been struggling to get working sufficiently on the lower-powered console.

Larian previously announced that Baldur’s Gate 3’s eighth major update would add cross-play, 12 new subclasses and a photo mode in 2025, with a stress test for the patch set to launch in January.

The stress test kicked off today, and it includes the surprise addition of split-screen co-op on Xbox Series S.
