Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is shutting down late in March

• Atelier Resleriana releases end-of-service announcement within a year

After a year since the global launch, Koei Tecmo has announced that Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is officially shutting down. The announcement confirms that in-game purchases will end on January 27th, with all services ceasing on March 28th. Until then, several events are planned to give you a chance to enjoy what remains of the experience.

This decision follows the developers’ acknowledgement that they could no longer sustain the standards they set. While they consistently worked on improvements and events, they ultimately assessed that continuing operations wasn’t viable. Lodestar Gems, used for various activities, can still be spent until the shutdown, but purchasing them is no longer an option.

For a lot of you who have played Atelier Resleriana, this announcement may not come as a complete surprise. The gacha market is saturated with countless options vying for attention, making it hard for new releases to stand out. Atelier Resleriana had some promising ideas but struggled with several key issues.
