Sam ‘The Punisher’ Abdulrahim shot dead in street at Preston, Melbourne

A prominent gangland figure has reportedly been shot dead on a busy street in Melbourne’s northeast.

Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim was reportedly gunned down in a car park on High St in Preston about 10am on Tuesday, according to The Herald Sun.

The 34-year-old former Mongol bikie survived two earlier suspected target shootings, including when 17 shots were fired at the former kickboxer at his Thomastown home.

In a statement, Victoria Police said ********* Detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Preston this morning.

Emergency services were called to reports a man had been shot in a car park.

Police said the the man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

Officers have since cordoned off the area and a crime scene is in place.

At this early stage, police believe the incident was targeted.
