If you’ve been playing the game throughout the last eight years, you’re either a maniac, incredibly patient, or both because the game had an incredibly rocky start and it took all of the eight years to make a comeback. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Now we wait for the World Part 2 update and Sean Murray, the game’s creator, may have just given us a hint at the arrival of a long-requested feature. No Man’s Sky players might finally get their wish to fly into a gas-giant planet and blow themselves up in spectacular fashion. The hints are coming for No Man’s Sky‘s next update This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up The upcoming Worlds Part 2 update was teased earlier this week via Murray’s signature cryptic emoji tweet—a ringed planet, akin to Saturn, which is a gas giant. Since the Worlds Part 2 update is the next one, fans have speculated that it is a hint for it. The Worlds Part 2 update will be a follow-up to Worlds Part 1, which was released in mid-2024 and one of the updates that solidified the game’s successful comeback. Gas giants have been a hot topic among fans since 2019 when No Man’s Sky creator Sean Murray admitted in an interview with This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up that many players wanted them purely to experience the thrill of dying in space. At the time, Murray called it a “surprisingly common” request but noted the design challenges involved. It’s a bunch of work that may not have the biggest payoff for people, ultimately, but also I understand that it is role-playing, in a sense. But we also have to factor in new players and find a balance there – people don’t like to just die inexplicably, if they don’t know the reason behind it. Gas giants are a really cool concept for No Man’s Sky if you think about it. There’s a big playground for imagination and creativity. We could potentially see floating cities, planetary storms, new ecosystems, and alien creatures of all sorts. And of course, the kamikaze option to satisfy the request of players. It’s been a very successful journey of redemption This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up ? | Image Credit: Hello Games This isn’t the first time Hello Games has expanded the planetary diversity of No Man’s Sky. The Worlds Part 1 update, released in mid-2024 included a massive overhaul to environmental generation. We saw the introduction of new biomes and improved water visuals with the developers bringing back the focus on exploration. It was a huge move that really paid off don’t you think? This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up — Sean Murray (@NoMansSky) This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up It was widely praised as a transformative moment for the game, and the decision to split the Worlds update into multiple parts may have been genius as well. Now we know that there’s more coming, and with how dedicated the developers have been, there’s no fear of disappointment. Eight years after its rocky launch, the game recently achieved a milestone on Steam. From a game that was reviewed as Mostly Negative at launch, the fact that it has finally reached the coveted Very Positive rating with over 80% favorable reviews is a miracle and a half. And we only have the developers to thank for being so dedicated. The Worlds Part 2 update has yet to receive an official release date but we can’t wait for what Hello Games has in store for us players. For a game built on the promise of endless possibilities we sure are reaching that point. Have you been playing No Man’s Sky? What are your thoughts regarding the game? Let us know in the comments!
