City of Norfolk to permanently close Harbor Park parking lot for casino development

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The City of Norfolk has announced upcoming parking lot closure to accommodate the development of the long-planned resort casino.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 27, Harbor Park Lot D will be permanently closed.

Alternative parking and drop off arrangements have been made for Amtrak travelers. Parking will be available in Lot E, which is located across Park Avenue from the station.

Additional overflow parking will be available in Lot C, which will also serve as the “cell phone lot.”

Shuttle service will be available one hour prior to each train departure from both Lots C and E. Shuttles will also be available for returning passengers.

Travelers should plan to arrive early to accommodate the changes.
