Paul Butler, 53, of Stangray Avenue, Plymouth, has been charged in connection with the death of Claire Chick, who was a nurse and university lecturer. The 48-year-old was found seriously injured in West Hoe Road on Wednesday and later died in hospital. Mr Butler is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
