reveals violence and trouble at a popular downtown bar.

Now, we’ve found the Frozen Daiquiri Bar shut down.

Police video shows you Cleveland police responded to violence time after time. The nightspot sits in the shadow of Progressive Field.

In April, Cleveland police took a call for a shooting. Body camera video shows officers entering the bar and clearing it out, saying, “time to go, let’s go.” You also see an officer inside checking around while holding a rifle.

In July, police took a call for another shooting outside the same club.

“Hey, is somebody shot?” an officer yelled.

Then, police found a victim in the parking lot.

“Where’d you get struck?” an officer asked.

“In my shoulder,” a woman responded.

Police say, last month, a man died after getting shot outside the club.

On the 911 call, a woman said, “hey, we need the police out here… this club right here…somebody got shot. We need an ambulance quickly… and police ASAP.”

“As of right now, we’re temporarily closed,” the owner, James Cleveland, told the I-Team.

“Temporarily closed, or closed for good?” we asked.

“Probably, more than likely, gonna close for good,” Cleveland said.

The Frozen Daiquiri Bar has closed just before Cleveland City Hall took steps to force the club to shut down due to all of the trouble.

“We’re in a city that’s filled with violence. Ultimately, there are some things we can’t control,” Cleveland said.

“Why not have more security there, inside and outside?” we asked.

“Well, we do have security, inside and outside,” Cleveland responded.

“It’s never going to reopen because we’ll make sure it’s permanently closed,” said City of Cleveland Law Director Mark Griffin.

Griffin made clear he has an email from the owner of the building saying the club will not reopen.

The city had started legal action to get the business closed.

“This is downtown. We want everyone to come downtown and feel safe. So anything that makes people feel less safe, we don’t want in our city,” Griffin said.

The I-Team filed a request for incidents at that bar in the last year. We found multiple cases of felony assaults, aggravated robberies and more. And, all of that before the recent *********.

Police say a couple of guys got into a fight outside. A crowd gathered and someone started shooting.

“Good riddance,” city councilman Kerry McCormack said.

He had battled to close the club back when it had been operating in the Flats. Now, this.

“We never want to lose population in the state of Ohio, the City of Cleveland. This is one individual, I’m happy they’re leaving,” McCormack added.

And so, closing time for good.

Those 911 calls also led to police investigations. We saw no record of any immediate arrests in those cases.
