LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A group of people were caught on surveillance video breaking into a high-end Las Vegas retail shop early Friday morning, stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

“This was our window,” Isaac Ortiz. “Now, it’s plywood.”

Ortiz walked 8 News Now through the damage left behind after the brazen break-in at ‘Bring it Back Las Vegas,’ the store he manages inside the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets.

“Before it’s like two or three people,” Ortiz recalled. “And now it is starting to be groups of five and plus.”

He said the group hit their location just after 1:30 a.m. Friday. They are caught on camera smashing the front door and running in, then grabbing thousands of dollars worth of designer shoes and clothes.

“They pretty much ended up wiping this all out,” Ortiz explained, pointing to an empty shelf in the store Friday.

He told 8 News Now this is the second time his store has been hit in six months, so this recent case was even harder to ********.

“We’ve been in business seven years,” he said. “This is the first time we have had it back-to-back happening.”

Much of the merchandise offered at Bring it Back locations around Southern Nevada is sold or traded from customers, meaning many pieces are difficult or impossible to replace.

“It’s very very scary,” Ortiz said. “Very sad also too because a lot of people do work for a lot of this stuff.”

He hopes sharing his story will help warn other local business owners to keep an eye out for each other.

“We definitely just want to give them a heads up,” Ortiz said. “Like hey, this could be you next.”

Ortiz told 8 News Now he hopes different locations can work together to keep similar incidents from happening again.

“Just always be aware,” he concluded. ‘And be cautious of everything.”
