Nine-year-old boy allegedly murdered in Townsville

A nine-year-old boy in Townsville is dead and police have charged a woman with his alleged *******.

Emergency services were called to a home on Saturday evening with reports that a boy was unresponsive.

Police have charged a 24-year-old woman with ******* and taken her into custody.

Police say the woman and boy were known to each other.The woman is due to face Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday.

Investigations are continuing.
