The Dockers, who finished 10th last season, have ramped up training in recent weeks, including match simulation and weekend sessions as they look to return to finals in 2025. Dozens of players took to the grassed hill near the DNA Tower, including captain Alex Pearce and his deputies Caleb Serong and Andrew Brayshaw. Among the other stars were midfielder Hayden Young, forward Josh Treacy, defenders Jordan Clark and Luke Ryan. Absent was star ruckman Sean Darcy, who has flown to Qatar to continue his rehabilitation from a knee injury. Some of the club’s newest faces, including top draftee Murphy Reid, father-son selection Jaren Carr and rookie Aiden Riddle, were among the youngsters to get a taste of the Dockers’ gut-busting pre-season go-to. Fremantle will return to pre-season training next week, as they prepare for the Indigenous All Stars clash at Optus Stadium on February 15. Pearce, new recruit Shai Bolton and veteran Michael Walters are among the Dockers already announced to play for the All Stars, although the latter is racing the clock to be fit after knee surgery. The Dockers will then have an official pre-season clash against Melbourne at Rushton Park on March 2.
