However, one category of item Epic Games has sort of overlooked for the past two years now is the Exotic Weapons in the game.

Exotic weapons are just new variants of already existing weapons in Fortnite that have an extra additional perk or benefit added to them, they have a unique name as well, often reflective of what the weapon does.
