Prime TV series. The season was a hit, and people are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the next one already.

During a recent interview, showrunner Jonah Nolan and Bethesda’s Todd Howard spoke about the show and some of the things that we might see in it in the future.

, Nolan and Howard gave us some great insight into what we can expect from the show and the future of the Fallout franchise.

One of the burning questions on fans’ minds was whether Nolan and his team have a grand plan mapped out for multiple seasons of the show, similar to how he approached this previous series, like Westworld.

Nolan didn’t disappoint, revealing that while the team does have a framework in mind, they’re also open to the organic evolution that often occurs in TV production. “We talk it through,” Nolan explained. He further added:

You’d also be foolish to not account for the things along the way. That’s one of the beauties of television.

You’ll start working with an actor who maybe came in for a little cameo and then winds up becoming a key part of your universe. That’s happened on every show I’ve ever worked on.

Nolan compared the approach to film franchises, where each season is written to stand on its own while also setting the stage for future installments. It’ll be interesting to see Nolan, Howard, and the rest of the team’s direction with the next season.

Unfortunately, it’ll be a while till we get a new wasteland adventure.

But what about the games themselves? When asked this question, Howard candidly spoke about Bethesda’s current priorities, including the highly anticipated fifth addition to the series.

While Howard remained coy about specific release dates, he did confirm that the studio’s focus was elsewhere currently in terms of new development.

Our focus as far as new development right now is Elder Scrolls VI. But that doesn’t mean that we’re not making plans for other things.

While the next wasteland adventure is undoubtedly in the works, fans have a significant wait ahead as the priority is a new Elder Scrolls game.

In the meantime, Howard did mention that there are exciting updates in store for both Fallout 76 and Starfield, so fans of Bethesda’s games have some new content to stay busy with for now.

As for the new TV series, it’s clear that Nolan and Howard went all-in to bring the game’s universe to life, and fans can’t wait to see what their brains cook up for the next chapter of the story.
