If you’re wondering why the event called The Spring Festival is happening so early in the year, that’s because the event is meant to tie in with the Lunar New Year, which is also called Spring Festival in China. Likely, Marvel Rivals wanted to avoid even more Overwatch comparisons by calling it the Lunar New Year event the same way Overwatch does.
