Powering the Honda Accord is a 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine, producing 108kW of power and 182Nm of torque on its own.

The petrol engine is paired with two electric motors – a 135kW and 335Nm unit which drives the wheels, while the other charges the battery – to produce a total of 152kW, down on its predecessor’s 158kW figure.

The Accord can drive on electric-only power by activating its EV mode, with six regeneration strengths selectable through its paddles behind the steering wheel.
