Australia’s new vehicle sales data from 2024 has landed, and it’s no surprise what the top-selling brand was.

Toyota was once again the top-selling brand in Australia for the 22nd year running, with its final figure almost two and a half times higher than the second-placed carmaker.

For 2024 there were a few shake ups in terms of the top five best-selling brands and how they stand. Ford beat Mazda to take second place, and Mitsubishi beat Hyundai to take fifth place.

Toyota

The Japanese carmaker set a new annual sales record in 2024 with a total of 241,296 vehicles delivered to *********** customers, meaning almost one in five new cars sold last year was a Toyota.
