Pokémon TCG Pocket continues newest wonder events with the return of fan-favourite Blastoise

• Pokémon TCG Pocket’s latest Wonder Pick event is here, with Blastoise as the featured ‘mon

Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to continue its suite of Wonder Pick events this year with the expansion of its latest event. The featured Pokémon this time around? None other than our favourite cannon-toting water-type, Blastoise. Grab nifty new cosmetics and more as part two of the Wonder Pick event runs until January 21st!

What’s a Wonder Pick, you ask? Well, essentially it works by letting you choose from a selection of five random cards drawn from booster packs that players around the world have opened. With this event, you’ll not only have the opportunity to nab the usual cards but also complete missions to earn shop tokens, which you can use to get Blastoise-themed cosmetics such as a coin and playmat.

Just like Charmander and Squirtle in the most recent Wonder Pick event, Blastoise should need a little introduction as a fan-favourite of the original Pokémon line-up. These new additions add a display board backdrop, binder cover and more highlighting both the Trainer Blue and Blastoise.

Fortunately for you, if you didn’t manage to get Charmander or Squirtle that part of the event is still underway, but for those who’ve already worked their way through that portion this will just add even more great stuff to nab as part of the event.

Pokémon TCG Pocket was a hotly-awaited release for a number of reasons, mainly because mobile had really lacked a good translation of the original card game that spawned this massive multimedia franchise for a long while.
