series is a big mix of crime, drama, and humor. There are plenty of games that all sound slightly different, which can make it hard for new players to know where to start. The story takes place in a made-up part of Tokyo called Kamurocho and follows the lives of yakuza members. For new players, a popular recommendation is to start with Yakuza 0, which tells the backstory of key characters Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima.
