League of Legends Season One 2025 is about to start, marking the beginning of a new era with a reworked Ranked structure, a transformed Rift map, and changes to Teleport. But even before launch, the new LoL patch has already been criticized by one of the game's most prominent streamers and creators, Los Ratones coach Marc Robert 'Caedrel' Lamont. Calling the new patch "horrible," Caedrel says that the changes to TP lean too heavily on influences from LoL's spin-off TV series Arcane, and that various aspects of the new patch feel like they cater to players coming to League of Legends for the first time after watching the show, rather than long-time fans of Riot's MOBA.
