) – The driver who reportedly caused a rollover ****** at U.S. 50 and 29 Road on Thursday received several citations.

Around 3:07 p.m., a Volkswagen Jetta traveling westbound on Highway 50 entered the intersection on a red light and collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander, causing the Outlander to roll onto its top, Colorado State Patrol told WesternSlopeNow.

The driver of the Jetta was transported to St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with serious injuries while the passenger was uninjured. Both occupants were minors.

The driver of the Jetta was cited for careless driving causing injury, no proof of insurance and no valid driver’s license. She was also issued a revocation for not having valid insurance.

All four occupants of the Outlander were transported to the hospital. The driver and one of the passengers suffered serious injuries while the other two had moderate injuries.

None of the injuries were life-threatening, CSP said.

Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, CSP and the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to the collision.
