Ice-T calls cop a ‘f–king a–hole’ during tense exchange caught on bodycam video: ‘This muthaf–ka’

Ice-T got a little hot.

The rapper and “Law and Order: SVU” star had a heated exchange with law enforcement in New Jersey last May after being pulled over for expired license plates, calling a police officer a “f–king a–hole.”

The verbal altercation was captured on bodycam footage obtained by

In the video, a Hudson County Sheriff’s officer begins begins by telling the rapper that he is being recorded and has been stopped because of a missing front license plate and expired tags (that turn out to have expired in 2021).

Ice-T proceeds to tell the officer that he was on the way to a nearby DMV to update the paperwork on his Porsche, and that he tried to resolve the matter at the DMV the day before but couldn’t because “their system was down.”

According to T, the car’s registration wasn’t up to date because it had been “parked.”

“Are you sure?” the cop asks him in the footage.

“Yeah, of course I’m sure,” the rapper responds.

“Yesterday I went to the DMV and they said their system’s down, so that’s why I’m here. I got seven cars. I’m trying to get them all straight.”

When asked by the officer what time his appointment was , the “SVU” star replies, “I don’t need one,” before adding, “They know me.”

At one point, Ice-T got out of his car and approached the officer. Unspoken Crime Murders/

Prompted to provide his driver’s license, Ice-T admits to the officer that his license is also expired.

“That’s why I’m going to the DMV. You have my paperwork. You’re fine,” he says before trying to persuade the cop to either follow him to the DMV or allow him to park his car where he was stopped and walk to the DMV. The Sheriff’s officer doesn’t agree to either suggestion.

“You don’t gotta be that serious about this. I mean you can but you don’t have to,” T says in the clip, to which the cop counters, “It is serious.”

Visibly frustrated, the actor asks the cop if he’s going to “take me to jail.”

“I’m not going to take you to jail,” the officer assures him before saying he’s going to tow the car.

At that point Ice-T begins to boil. “You’re not gonna tow my f–king vehicle,” he says.

He continues, “If I’m not under arrest, I’m getting out of the car.”

Exiting the car, the “Law and Order” alum walks to the curb and approaches the law enforcement agent, who warns, “Don’t touch me.”

“Give me my paperwork, you f–king a–hole,” Ice-T tells him. “Give me my f–king paperwork!”

The rapper then addresses the bodycam, looking directly into the lens.

“Get this on camera,” he says. “This muthaf–ker. I’m a foot away from the DMV. You’re an a–hole!”

The star goes on to record the cop — who he labels a “dumba–” — on his phone.

With the exchange escalating, backup is called in and cooler heads start to prevail. A sergeant arrives on the scene and brokers a peace between T and the patrol officer, who gives the rapper four tickets — driving with a suspended license, improper display, no inspection sticker, and missing front plates.

The sergeant tells Ice-T that he tried to persuade the officer to reduce the number of citations from four to two, but was unsuccessful.

The Sheriffs then allow Ice-T to leave his car parked while he walks to the DMV to update his license and registration.

The officer who pulled the “SVU” actor over ends the tense encounter by telling him, “Just next time show some respect.”

But Ice wasn’t feeling chilled, replying, “I don’t have to.”

The Post has reached out to reps for Ice-T and to the Hudson County Sheriff’s office.
