The trampoline landed on the top of a utility pole on Ash Way about 1.30pm after it was made airborne by a gust of wind. A Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson put the incident down to the afternoon sea breeze. “There has been a fresh sea breeze this afternoon with gusts around 40 km/hr recorded at most sites inland from the coast and 39 km/hr wind gust at Perth Metro,” they said. “Hold tight Morley,” Western Power said on This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up . “We’re working to restore power to 90 customers affected by this winged trampoline. Fortunately there were no injuries. “Just your typical Saturday for the trampoline that jumped too high.” Power to 89 nearby homes was lost immediately, with another 12 homes left without power two hours later. Power is not scheduled to return until 7.30pm on Saturday. However, a Western Power spokesperson said it was possible it could be restored sooner. The spokesperson said the incident was a good reminder for the community to tie down any loose items even if wild weather is not predicted.
