From November 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, state-run archaeological sites and museums across Greece, including Santorini, will operate on their winter schedule. Here’s your guide to uncovering the island’s past during this serene season: Step Back in Time: Archaeological Sites Archaeological Site of Akrotiri:Journey to the Bronze Age and walk through the streets of the ancient Minoan city famously preserved by volcanic ash. Archaeological Site of Ancient Thera:Perched atop Mesa Vouno, this site offers breathtaking views along with remnants of Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine history.
