announced previously was shown at the event as well. It will hit theaters in Japan on March 28, 2025 together with a new original episode titled “Hoshino’s Day Off.” The film will be screened “worldwide” based on the event.

Staff from the first season will be working on the new episode including Yūto Tsukuda (Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma manga author), who will be writing for the episode and Yuichiro Kido (Dr. Stone) who is in charge of writing the scripts.

The anime-exclusive story will feature Reno and Hoshina on a day off. Reno senses something peculiar with Hoshina and follows him together with Iharu.

The first season premiered on April 13 earlier this year and ran for 12 episodes with Crunchyroll streaming the anime. Animation production was handled by Production I.G and kaiju designs and illustrations were done by Studio Khara.
