Call of Duty 2025 Is Likely Borrowing a Mechanic Ubisoft Made Popular in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

There’s no denying the fact that the recent debut of Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 has proven to be an incredible success for Treyarch and Activision. The developers have done a great job with the game’s campaign, multiplayer, and zombie mode. No one could’ve ever predicted a modern-day Call of Duty game being this fun.

With ****** Ops 6 out, all eyes are now on Call of Duty 2025. It’s still not confirmed where the game is headed or what it might be called. However, leaks suggest that the game is going to arrive with a feature that Ubisoft perfected in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. It’s great to see that Activision is looking at its competition for inspiration.

Before Ubisoft’s downward spiral, the studio was known for giving us legendary games that have gone down in the history books. One of those was Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The game brought many revolutionary gameplay features to the table, including wall running.

The fact that players could wall run with the Prince brought an element of fluidity to the experience and made every leap a spectacle to watch. It enhanced the game’s puzzles and made exploration even greater.

Fans absolutely loved the feature, and it seems like Activision is taking notes. Rumors suggest Call of Duty 2025 will also feature wall running.

What I am hearing about Infinity Ward’s next game:

Infinity Ward’s next game is currently scheduled for late 2026.

Infinity Ward will be utilizing Omnimovement and Wall Running (Which is currently rumored to be a feature in COD2025 as well) in their game.

Infinity Ward will…

According to Call of Duty leaker The Ghost of Hope, Infinity War is working on a Call of Duty game that’s set to release in 2026. This title will bring the wall running/thrust jumping feature, which is also expected to be a part of the upcoming Call of Duty 2025.

Keep in mind that these are just rumors; things can change at any minute. However, if this ends up being true, Call of Duty 2025 will be the third game in the franchise’s history to feature wall running, with 2016’s Infinite Warfare and ****** Ops 3 first bringing the mechanic to the series.

Call of Duty 2025 will be a set in future as ****** Ops 2 sequel

According to Insider Gaming’s 2023

, the upcoming Call of Duty game will mark a return to a futuristic setting. The game will be somewhere around 2030. While not taking place in the current day, it’s not a massive leap forward like Infinite Warfare with jetpacks and advanced weapons.

, on the other hand, have suggested that the game might be set just 10 years in the future by the time of its debut. This means gamers will be setting foot into a 2035 battlefield. If the reports end up being true, it would be the first time since 2018’s ****** Ops 4 that the franchise has leaped into the future.

The game is said to be a direct sequel to ****** Ops 2. Rumors suggest that it could bring back some of the most fan-favorite protagonists and maps from the iconic game. There’s also a chance that we could see David Mason, ****** Ops 2‘s main character, returning as the lead for Call of Duty 2025.

With that said, is there any feature in particular you’d like to see in Call of Duty 2025? Let us know in the comments below.
