Northern California Verizon store hit with $100,000 armed robbery

(FOX40.COM) — Two people were arrested after they allegedly used a gun to rob a Northern California Verizon store of more than $100,000 worth of merchandise.

Around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday night, two suspects made off with nearly 60 iPhones worth six figures from the Verizon store on Walerga Road in Antelope,

. Deputies said they used tracking devices on the stolen merchandise to catch the alleged thieves.

Man accused in California gift card scam detained trying to enter the US illegally

The suspects reportedly fled to Woodland. There, deputies said they were led on a short foot pursuit before the suspects were arrested.

SCSO said the suspects were caught near Interstate 5 and Walmart on E Main in Woodland. All stolen items were recovered, in addition to a handgun used by one of the suspects during the robbery.
